Ball Drilling
Layout mapped to your rev rate, axis tilt and PAP — not a template. Measured, drilled and finished in-house.
Serving Tulare County
Porterville is the longest regular drive our customers make — about 45 minutes up CA-65. Bowlers who come from the foothills tend to come prepared, and we plan the visit around that.
Worth the drive
One trip, everything done. Tell us what you are bringing when you call and we will have the press and the resurfacer ready so nothing waits.
If a ball needs plugging and re-drilling, we can start it on your first visit and have it finished before you next come through, rather than making you drive twice in a week.
Surface adjustment is the cheapest thing we do and it changes ball reaction more than most people expect. Worth adding to any trip this far.
What we do
Layout mapped to your rev rate, axis tilt and PAP — not a template. Measured, drilled and finished in-house.
Span, pitch and thumb sizing measured properly. The single biggest thing separating a comfortable release from a sore thumb.
Slug and insert work to tighten a loose fit, plus interchangeable thumb systems.
Bring a used ball back to life with a fresh layout matched to your current game.
Resurface and re-grit to change how early the ball reads the lane. Cheapest way to make an old ball new.
Deep clean and oil extraction. Coverstocks absorb oil and go lifeless — this brings the reaction back.
Porterville questions
A fitting takes about 30 minutes and changes how every ball you own feels for years afterwards. Most Porterville bowlers make the drive once for the fitting, then let us handle drilling on the same visit. Call ahead and we will make sure it is all done in one trip.
Yes. Coverstocks absorb lane oil and go flat within roughly 60 games. Resurfacing and re-gritting restores the reaction and is by far the cheapest way to make an older ball useful again.
Call ahead and we'll confirm your weight is in stock and someone is free to fit you when you arrive. Friday and Saturday are by appointment.
